Online cancellation

When you use the online cancellation form, we process your name, order or contract details, email address, and the date and time of receipt. We store your declaration in the shop’s protected administration area and send an acknowledgement to the email address you provide. We need these data to process the cancellation, fulfil legal obligations and document receipt (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We retain them in accordance with statutory retention periods.

Website access and hosting

When you visit our website, technically necessary connection data are processed, such as your IP address, access time, requested page, and browser and device details. This is necessary to deliver the website and ensure its security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website is hosted by IONOS. Information about processing by IONOS is available in its privacy notice.

Cart, orders and customer account

Our shop uses WordPress and WooCommerce. When you view products, add them to your cart, create a customer account or place an order, we process the information needed for these actions. This includes, in particular, selected products, name, billing and delivery addresses, email address, telephone number where applicable, order and payment status, and your messages about the order. We use these data to fulfil the contract, calculate shipping costs, send order notifications, provide customer service and meet legal obligations. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR.

Shop administrators have access to order and customer data where necessary for processing, support and refunds. A customer account provides access to manage the data stored in it.

Payments through Mollie

We use Mollie for online payments. When you select a payment method, the order and payment information required for the payment is passed to Mollie and, where applicable, the selected payment service. Depending on the payment method, this may include PayPal, a card provider or Klarna. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; legitimate interests and legal obligations may also apply for fraud prevention. Further information is provided in Mollie’s privacy policy and the privacy notices of the selected payment service.

Production and shipping by Printegy

Our mugs are produced and shipped through Printegy. To fulfil the order, we pass the necessary order, product and delivery data to Printegy and the service providers responsible for delivery. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Further information is available in Printegy’s privacy policy.

Technically necessary cookies

WooCommerce uses technically necessary cookies and session data so that the cart and checkout work and your cart contents are retained during your visit. A customer account and sign-in may require additional functional cookies. Details of WooCommerce cookies are available in its documentation. The legal basis for the associated data processing is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

Contact and external book links

If you contact us by email, we process your message and contact details to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Our book pages may link to Amazon. You leave our website only when you follow the external link; Amazon’s information applies to processing there.

Retention periods and your rights

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose. We retain order and invoice data for longer where statutory retention obligations apply. Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent with effect for the future. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. For enquiries, please write to info@sanfaya.com.
